Default Replacing Rx\Tx in old AirHogs

So I'm a bit of a AirHogs junkie lol. I have some perfect 10+ years old, and over the years components fail. So I'm looking for ways to replace Txs and Rxs. The Rx is the Rx, ESC, and BEC all in a unit the size of a Bic lighter. Is there anything comparible in the aftermarket? Has anyone found a aftermarket solution for replacing the matched Rx\Tx pairs, or the parts individually?

OK ... first you need to work out what AMP rating needs to be covered by the ESC ... I would assume that being an all in one unit - that it is going to be quite low ... 5 - 10A ??

What LiPo does it use or is it NiMh ?

We now have Rx's and ESC's that we would have mortgaged all for .... small, compact and FULL capability - even telemetry.

I have been a user of FrSky for many years now and when FrSky decided based on EU - to ditch the D8 standard .... clever chinese picked up the D8 and D16 formats ... cloned and then produced Rx's that are even smaller than the tiny FrSky ones were ! Allied to the fact they also started producing ESC's that are a 1/4 size or less ....

Here's my small flyer Rx and ESC gear I use (these go in not only small models but also larger as they are full range) :

OK - this would mean swapping over to a radio system that can handle FrSky D8 ........ and to be honest given the latest development in multi protocol radios - I see no reason to stick with established proprietary brands any more. The days of being held to one radio protocol are gone ...

I can thoroughly recc'd the Radioking TX18s .... and its cousins by Jumper / Radiomaster .... (I suggest avoid the Lite versions as they have significantly less protocols available).
With the Radioking as example - there are very few systems that cannot bind with it. The price is a real bargain !
