Default upgrade

hello,
got a Lama V4, getting the hang of it. looking to upgrade it a bit with
xtreme SE180 bearing motors + model 4 boom kit. I would like to fly it
outside, will these motors help ?
are there other parts that could help ?
thank you and have a pleasant flight.

djetlag,
Your Lama V4 is pretty much the same as the CX2. Even if you supercharge these helis, you will still have a small heli that will get blown around outside. This heli is really made for inside flight or outside when there is NO wind. My suggestion would be to practice with it and when you get some money together, buy a Collective Pitch heli instead of upgrading yours.

a collective pitch helicopter utilizes a rotating blade grip to alter the pitch of the blades to facilitate more lift, rather than by altering the speed of the blades to affect lift. the throttle in a collective pitch heli should only be altered to maintain headspeed. hope that helps a little.

A smart head and money will move from co-axial to the tried and true HBFP (4-channel, fixed pitched).... Then in a year move on to the CP.

djetlag,
What kind of money can you put into a different heli? Depending on the amount you can spend will dictate where you go next. And a larger CP heli will save you money in the long run because you won't have to buy another. And the larger the heli, the more stable it is.

It is a question of prioraties I gess. Helis or tatoos, I like'm both
and they're both xpensive. For now I'll practice and have fun, wait for the wind to die down. And see what happens.
Thanks a lot guys, things are back in perspective.
Good day.
