Windy, severe thunderstorms and heavy rain, flash flood warnings. Calling for 3" or more of rain today and tomorrow. Beautiful.

Mild winds, hazy, humid, and waiting for the Atlantic storm to show up off the coast to turn into/not turn into a hurricane.

Look right in the middle of this mess. Directly under it is me. See me? Of course you can't. It's raining too hard.

LOL -- just to be picky, it looks like the middle of that mess is TULSA, not "SW Missouri".

It's cloudy and windy, but not raining here... Just sort of a spitting rain...

EDIT --> But that's okay, because I've got too much to build right now anyway!

Yes if you look at the middle of the big green blob it is around Tulsa. If you look at the perty yellow and orange, it's in Missouri. Either way, what's in Tulsa will be here in a few hours. Gotta love it.

Ok the flying weather is back and first i put the RV6 up and she immediatly did a low level loop and not enough room to pull out. Repairs to do.
Next i put the UB up and had some fun with rolls etc.
Then after charging The Batt. i put the Citabria up and flew her high above the Jackpines for a flight and made a nice landing in my little circle.
Next will be the Christen Eagle if the wind stays down.

Cold this mourning but not too bad to fly.
I put the Ultimate Biplane up and flew some fig 8s and did a couple of rolls and loops. Coming in for a landing over the garage kinda low she decided to just sit down and so i had to get the ladder and go up after it . No damage to speak of(hotglue)will cure it.

Well, it rained all night, but when I woke up this morning, it was overcast but not raining and dead calm.

I threw the Decathlon in the car and went down to the park and it was abandoned.

Flew two batteries, and it started lightly drizzling on the third. I flew about half of that pack and put her down before my radio got too wet. I headed home for breakfast with a huge smile on my face.

Ditto. Can't fly my electric Cub- it's too light for wind over 5 mph.

Default Ebb-tide for wind

Every-day around here as the sea-breeze give's-up to the land-breeze (Ebb-tide for wind)an hour or so before dark like clock-work, I like to call it "the magic hour" your bub, stevecooper

A little too breezy these past couple days in the Seattle area...

er, I mean.....

Canada ( inside joke)

I'm jonesing to get my Stryker up again, but the wind scares me! Flew the SC two days ago and cartwheeled the landing. Misjudged my landing approach and decided to go around at the last second. The battery said "oh no you don't", the motor cut, and the flight was over! No damage. Love that SC!

What a great weekend we had! Got in a lot of flying in between fall baseball practice for my son.

He is really getting good. He was on his third flight of the day with the Mini Funtana when he was coming around for another pass when I though to myself "he's done it now!" I thought he was in big trouble... turns out he was in complete control making a low inverted pass over the runway... perfectly centered and about 10' off the deck. Then he goes into a flat turn make and makes a complete circuit around the field inverted...

I think he is starting to get the hang of it...

I had a few real good flights on the Airliner, flew the heck of of the Stryker, as did my son, we ran a couple of packs through the Ultimate as well and just generally had a great time.

it was a bit windy today but yesterday was awesome. not a lick of wind to speak of until we left to go to ball practice. Then the wind kicked up a bit, just enough for a cool breeze for practice.

all in all a great weekend.

It's going to be 93 degrees, but I am going to fly during lunch. I am so psyched up after last week, that flying in calm air is going to be a snap (well, hopefully nothing SNAPS).
