Safe select/BNF issues

Safe select/BNF issues
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this so but I’ll just go for it.
I’ve had many eflite BNF planes with safe select. I’ve used safe select to become a semi competent pilot and I still use it to this day.
I just got an eflite pitts S1S 850mm with safe select. I bound it correctly, and it sorta works.
It does try to auto correct but the banking limits are way too low and the elevator hardly moves at all when tilted forward or backward.
Like if safe select had rates and they were down to virtually nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
