Down in your basement, it looks like squares are a lot harder to fly through than hexagons.

I'm still having problems getting a video system to work.
I bought a Tx & Rx from a friend after he demonstrated it worked, after I got home I couldn't get it to work.
I think someone is telling me not to try this for a while.
I have the Convergence VTOL plane it is working good. I want to have a 200 to 600mw video in it, maybe a switchable power Tx. It should be fun flying FPV with that. I screwed up before Christmas, Hobbyking had the FPV goggles similar to yours, complete with Rx for $25.00 on sale for just a few hours. I didn't know I was getting the Convergence for Christmas from my wonderful wife.

Edit: Oh yes flying through the hoops takes a lot of practice but once you get used to it, it becomes pretty easy

I got PO'd at the video system quite awhile back, I will get it out and try again.
The TX and Rx have readouts for band and channel, At Jim's house they both worked, 2 days later the on the Tx wouldn't work. Power was right, but didn't have the time to see if the problem was just the just the readout or did the entire board go dead.
I am going to buy a new set of equipment when I pull in some more side jobs.
I want to have the Convergence working when we come to Cheyenne this year.
My daughter and son-in-law may be moving to Billings MT. She is a RN now and there are more good jobs up there, and Bo has family there.

Wyoming Outdoors printed out a 3D Tie Fighter for the Tiny Whoop. I call it the Tiny "Tie Fighter" Whoop, original aye
So last Wed. I had to get it together and maiden it. It was a lot of fun
Here is Wyoming Outdoors video of the same night.
If you dont have a tiny whoop you are missing out on a blast

Never could get the hang of FPV with Quads. My 500mW seems to run out of range at about 100 meters. I'm sure it used to be better than that once.
Lately I had it mounted on my quad and flew it autonomously. I just went along for the ride

No, not at all. I just tried some different antennas (fat Sharks) and it is just the same. It hasn't had a lot of use but I am using the Quanam Cyclops goggle now and I suspect it has a p'' poor RX in it. More tests to carry out yet.

Id be curious to know what you find out. I use 250mW on my long range planes and have gone more than a mile.

It is far too much fun. Im an FPV Addict. Panther we have got to get you in the air. Have you had any success? Trying to think of a way I can help you out. Whooping is a blast I just recently got an Alien Whoop Zero and its a rocket. Cant wait to get it outside and fly some real close by stuff.

You're right fish...these things are great when the weather gets away from you. Like the Tie Fighter add on...3D print pretty cool stuff. I just fly mine around the house...need to see if I can find something bigger. Lots of fun for something so small.
