I have the E-flite 300 outrunner and I can't seem to extend the prop shaft to install a spinner. I removed the two front screws as well as the c-clip and lock ring from the back of the motor as per the instructions but the shaft won't budge. I gently tapped it and it didn't move. Anyone know what I can do here?

Unscrewed them both. Also I can start to pull the outer casing foreward so it's not catching on the rear bearing. Would it be safe to try to heat the hub to expand it? I think that's where it is stuck.

If new, you have a factory reject.
Leave it alone. Use it on some other plane.
Press too hard and buckle a shaft or ruin some threads. You choice.
I know everything. And it sounds like I would leave it as is.
