Low level flying!! That's right up the Muroc Marauders alley. That's their cup o' tea, their forte' so to speak.
Oh yea baby, this is going to be fun!
Great idea for the second contest. Thanks Tim.

Not to be picky, Stinky, but I think that would be Nap of the Earth flying. I used to work on projects at Texas Instruments that built Terrain Following, Terrain Avoidance radars for F4's that allowed them to fly Nap of the Earth.

I have been trying to get a set up for AP and AV. I wish I had something up and running, because I would LOVE to join this contest. I really look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Kiwi..
As cool as I find the video, we cant accept it in the competition because it was shot and posted before the competition even began.

I didn't see a start date in your post only an end date, I guess best just to leave it to the planes a.

Helicopters are as welcome here as flies at a BBQ.

Yea Dave, I can tell that by counting all the heli related posts on this forum, but whatever. When I first started to post here there were a lot more Heli related posts, now there is next to nothing. Guess I'm not the only one who feels unwelcome here.
Anyway, back to topic, nice videos everyone...oh wait..

Truth is we dont have that many Heli AP'ers that hang out here. I cant fathom why they would feel unwelcome....
I find this forum brings alot of beginners here. I can only imagine that most start out on planes because they are easier to fly. As this site matures we hope to have all groups post here (balloon/blimp, kite, heli, mast, microcopter, plane, uav, fpv...etc)
I've always enjoyed your pictures when you posted them as others here have.

Heli's have always been welcomed in this forum and the reason we don't see more of them comes down to money. A AP plane is a fraction of the cost of a AP heli so out number them 50 to 1 here.

Kosh, I was hoping to talk with you at some point about getting my Striker-B back in the air as I have stripped a servo and can't find a replacement. I would like to upgrade to a good power system, 2.4, and better servos but don't know where to start. I will PM you so as not to take this topic off-topic more than it is.
Thanks,
David

Crash 9? he does helicopter AP doenst he, ive seen crashes on roofs and stuff pretty fun...
ahhh boy ive been hit with major bad luck today:
lets see, flying wings snapped in half/folded when i did a hard pull up when it was gaining speed.
Also lost my Sprint Rumor LG phone, ahhh my god!!!! im so stupid!! but i think it could have been stolen too, this kid was deliberately swinging my bag(which had my phone on a pouch) around and round even though we told him not too. But it could be the other way where i lost it but i dont think so since i knew my pockets couldnt hold the phone.... ahhhh.... damn i wish i could do GPS tracking through my cellphones Signal... or receiving signal i know its possible but i dont think i can access it. sighh.....

Cool, thanks Kosh. I was a little unsure after reading those posts above. That's good news as the weather (right now anyway) is predicted to be very conducive to low level flying.
I'm betting we see double the number of videos for this round than the last one.
