We have a number of folks here on WF in FL. Maybe they know of a place? Check our membermap. I do not see any park pilot partners in your area.

Also, I would call the LHSs in those areas and see if they know of any places. You can stop by those fields you saw in that link and talk to those folks.

Good luck,

Frank

I totally understand about the indoor & diddle sized airplanes. I just built this one recently. She's not pretty, but she flies -well until I took the wings off to for mods. I wish there was a bigger following of these planes in my area. I'd love to have meetings a local gym and fly these indoor planes.

Good luck and keep us posted on your new business if it happens.

Frank

I don't know of any indoor sites in our area. Not the biggest demand. Some folks clear out the garage to fly heli's indoors, but that's it.

Sarge, maybe also check with the local schools, and YMCA. Most all have gyms, and shouldn't be that hard to track down the person in charge.

Don't forget the churches too, they usually have large multi purpose rooms.

I never thought of that, I have a YMCA right across the street from me and a HUDGE church right next to that
Thanks

Twice a year, Dave Platt (the famous R/C scale guy) holds an indoor flyin in Cape Canaveral on the East Coast.
But that's the ONLY indoor flying I know of here in Florida.

It's a great fun event, I've flown there several times.
But then I only have a 1.5 hour drive up I-95 to get to it.
Was even more fun when the IRKS in Melbourne held an outdoor contest on the same weekend.

Next one is scheduled for October, 2008
You can find it on the schedule here:
http://www.irks.org/

(WOULD LOVE TO KNOW OF ANY OTHER FLORIDA INDOOR EVENTS...)
