Added abborgogna to my list of friends and requested he add me also. He got the message and said he tried to oblige but neither of us is showing on our friends menu....help would be appreciated...

Don the simple question is did you save him as a friend? Also, did you put a check-mark in the box by his name before approval?

We're getting little to no support from our current owners so this may be another of the issues the mods or admins can't fix.

Everything was checked as you explain above. He got the request and told me via PM that he thought he had done everything correctly.

He's not showing in my friends list nor am I in his.

I tried to befriend him again but got the message that "your friendship is already pending".

Just removed him from my contacts, successful. Then clicked on "Befriend" option. Checked the box as you indicated and sent it off. Guess we'll see if he gets it....
