Default Swap Meet

Hey everybody,
I went to my first swap meet yesterday morning. It was in Harvest Alabamer. Sponsored by NARCA (North Alabama Radio Control Association). I was asked to go because of my inquiries about that club.
I'd say it was 80% glow and the balance electric stuff. Prices from inexpensive to VERY EXPENSIVE.... One vendor there had some RTF foam Combat Deltas. Front motor design with elevon controls, very similer to the deltas in Chellies thread.
I talked with some club members just to get aquainted. I also learned a little about NASF (North Alabama Silent Flyers) which is a soaring club that also flies some electrics.
Well, it was a good time, just wanted to share...

Glad you had a great time Bruce! I went to my first meet in Perry, GA last weekend and found the same thing, wet vs electric. I made out pretty well though.

Did you pick up anything new?

Well Solid,
I was very careful with the $. You are not going to believe this, but I only bought a strip of 1/4 oz weights with sticky backs on them. I'm so cheap..:o I certainly was tempted....

I spent too much - just ask my wife, she'll tell you.

I ended up with a RTF Voyager Long EZ (brushless, esc, servos), a Cox Christen Eagle NIB, and a quite a few odds and ends. All were very good deals.

We had our clubs swap a few weeks back as well. I didn't get off as easy as Bruce but did not spend as much as Bill.

Been saving my money for a new big toy! will show everyone what it is soon, hopefully!

I did pick up an Estes rocket glider kit for my boy and a few odds and ends like servos and such.

It was neat to go and see what folks are getting rid of. And what they brought just to show off because for what they wanted for the stuff they sure as heck weren't going to sell it!

Could it be that GIANT Coast Guard C130? Or maybe the B-17 you've always wanted to build?

Oh Boy, Oh Boy... I can't wait. :p :p
