Default out of the swap meet comes a new plane!

Well I said we were not going to do it... but we did...

Me and my boy went to our club swap meet today and picked us up a cool little bird for a song!

It is the Estes Astro Blaster R/C Rocket. It calls for a D size rocket motor to fire it to altitude! Then it glides back down, or better yet flies under control back down to the ground! and the Rocket can be replaced with a pusher, haven't decided on the motor yet. will work on that later.

It's a full on built up kit with foam core wings so it will be a while before she flies but we already got it started so we are looking forward to getting her done!

Also picked up a new lipo and a few servos so all in all a good day at the swap meet!

Great Smokin 'Nards, Bill!

Nice snag! I almost had their other one (oh yeah, the Centurion) with the joined tail but it had been sold when I came back for it. Ya gotta pounce sometimes!

Enjoy,
TW

Thanks all!

We are really looking forward to setting her off form launch pad #1 here soon! I think we will do a couple launches with a rocket motor and then go for a little outrunner. i dunno though it may be a big enough hoot to just keep launching it straight up!

The quality seems pretty good so far. All laser cut parts and fairly nice, believe it or not, ENGLISH!!!!, instructions... now there's a refreshing change!

Once we get into it and really get her going I'll post some build pics.
