Default Coverite Art Chester Jeep

Hello,
I am interested in converting the Coverite Chester Jeep .40 size glow plane to electric. The specs on this plane are 52" wingspan 500 sq.in. 4-6 lb. I wanted to know if anyone has attempted a conversion of this model? If not I'm trying to determine the right power system for it.I have several 3s packs 2200mah. And would like to use them but not if it would not be the right fit for this 1930's pylon racer.Any help is appreciated.
Thank You, Tony

for a 40 size motor and Plane, you will have to Double up on your lipos, you need from 3500mah to 4500 mah for a 40 size motor, so if you use 2- 2200 lipos in Parallel, that will give you 4400mah and you should be fine with that, normally a 4 cell lipo is used with a 40 size electric motor. With the Motor listed below, you have the option of using a 3 or 4 or 5 cell lipo Too, You just have to use a smaller prop with more Lipo cells. all the info is in the Heads Up ad.

This motor will work with a 3 cell 4400mah, 2 - 2000mah Hooked in parallel lipos and a 13x6.5 APC prop, use a 60 amp esc. if you want to use your 3 cell 2200 lipos in parallel. this motor will give you approx 86 oz of thrust with a 3 cell lipo for almost a 1 to 1 power ratio.

These were some great old kits. I have been looking for a Peashooter for years; that one was primo for a 52 Surpass four stroke installation.

Now that I've gone e-power… oh well…

Yeah, well, moot point now. I'm in the process of divesting myself of all my glow/gas stuff except for two airplanes that have sentimental value.

And I figured that, even with a part-time gig like I have now, once I retired I'd be all hot-to-trot to start building again, what with some extra time available, etc.

For some reason, I have less interest in building now than I did BEFORE I retired. I've got the time, but no desire.

I sold all of my glow engines and Planes that I was using for RC, I have a bunch of McCoy Stunt Engines that I sell parts off of them on EBay , The Desire part, I found that a Couple of Ice Cold Beers, Or Some Good Red Wine gives me the Desire to Build LOL
