I have seen these fly and they fly good, want one myself. Be careful buying from Banana though, do a search here and form your own opinion of them. Generally not one of the more trusted dealers.

Default Hmmmm

Well, after reading the many, many pages of talk on the A10's I went ahead and ordered the GWS A-10 from tower. Ordered that and a electrifly 25A esc. I will be using a 3s tp-2100 on the stock 300 brushed motors, at least until they burn out.

I'm hoping it will fly. It will be gearless and hand launched. Also ordered som cf strips and tube to reinforce.

U think I can use the supplied Y harness, or should I just wire them up direct to the esc?

The 300 brushed motors MIGHT last 1 flight on 3s but i doubt it. For brushed motors I would just use the y-harness myself but you could wire them directly if you prefer.

The GWS was generally considered underpowered so an upgrade will be needed.

Default A10

I'm currently flyin the gws f4u. converted to brushless. probly have 40+ flights on it. its a nice flyer. the a10 will be my first edf. from what read a 3s 2100 on the stock brushed motors works "ok" as long as you limit wot and break in the motors in water. think i'll have trouble hand launchin with brushed motors? I do it with the f4u all the time, but its brushless and will practically hover.

I flew my GWS A-10 on the stock brushed motors for a while, with a 1300mah 3S. Seemed to work just fine but I kept the throttle around 3/4 or less most of the time (except launching).

Never had a problem handlaunching it Just give it a good toss and it'll be fine.

Saw the B H one fly at a Club field 2 weekends ago . Flew nice, retracts worked good.
But about a month ago I saw the Nitro planes one fly , it didn't have retracts but it flew just as good and is half what the B H one costs.

very nice flying steve,i love the way you never flew a straight line.....[so many trees],sometimes the risk of flying a tight space is the fun.

the plane looked good to!,i may just watch it again.

Bubsteve,
Whoa...a lesser mans knees woulda buckled. Just dont let the "tree huggers" get a glimpse of that, they'll be bussing to Shadesville in record numbers taking that field away from ya. Then you'd be stuck flying that thing in your shower stall
