Hello RB and welcome to WattFlyer. I watched the first video on the floats for the CX2. Good job with the design. It looks like it flies nice.

Default Great Concept!

Fantastic Idea.
Been slope soaring for the past ten years and last year purchased a Ion warmliner electric glider.
So far very impressed with it and glad to belong to a forum of experienced electric flyers.

Welcome to Wattflyer.

I to fly gliders. I am more a thermal guy but also fly slope, DLG and electric gliders. I don't fly hotliners.

There is a High Performance and Sailplane forum that you will probably want to visit here on Wattflyer.

Hi
Where do i start. I'm the wrong side of 50 i live in the uk and have just come back to rc flying after more years than i care to think about.
I am at present the proud owner of a super cub which i adore and have just taken delivery of a parkzone spit which i have yet to fly. I have also got an aerobird swift which must be the biggest load of junk anyone has produced or maybe i'm just a bad pilot. My aim is to have a parkzone Stryker one day.
I look forward to hearing from anybody who cares to pass there words of wisdom to someone who is scared stiff of crashing his new spit.

Hey Nav Welcome to WattFlyer! Glad to have you aboard and welcome back to the hobby.

As far as advice, just practice like crazy with that SC and get the feel for it back again. You'll be fine.

And welcome to you to John! Being from Birmingham you should head down south to Hodfes next spring for SEFF. What a great time that is for everyone.

Default Geobat For John

Hi, John! I will be happy to answer your questions about Geobat, ring wings, etc. to the best of my ability. You may want to send them privately to me because I'm not visiting the forum very much as I'm working on a ring wing airplane invention. Also an impression could be created that we are "hijacking" a thread that is already in process. We don't want to look like "thread terrorists" !!

Default A confused Beginner! :)

Hi,

I have the following hardware which i had used to build a hovercraft & a glider. Now i am fascinated by helicopters and wanted to buy a kit which could accommodate some of the following. (saving max $ dollars possible! )

Himax HC030-390 Brushless Motor
Castle creations CC-PH60 ESC
Hacker Combo! A30-8XL Brushless Outrunner Motor
X-40 Opto pro ESC
2 (two) X Thunder Power RC eXtreme 4500mAh 11.1V 3 Cell Li Poly
Spectrum DX7 7Ch Air w/AR7000
Futaba
GY401 SMM Gyro

Sorry, i wanted to post hyperlinks for all the items but i am not allowed to post hyperlinks till my post count is 3

I Was thinking about buying a century Swift 16 EP kit . ( ill use the Hacker motor in it )

As helicopter flying experience, i have flown a friend's Heli Max Axe EZ EP.

Any suggestions for effective use of the hardware.

BTW great forum!

Thanks in advance

hello all,

nice joining your community, have been reading u guyz for quite a longtime, finally signed up.

i live in athens, greece, been into rc for more than 15 years, mostly racing nitro off road (quite good results) but last year i am attempting to enter electric rc flying and i'm amazed. (wendy i can flyyyyyy).

i currently own a kyosho caliber 450 bls full carbon operated by a sanwa rd8000, a small foamie by skyartec, the 4 ch cessna 182 and as u may see from my other post in the sailplanes section, i am working on reviving and modifying a vintage kyosho valencia 1.8m electric glider from the late 80's.

congatulations for the nice forum again, will be catching up thrugh here.
