Its part of Forum life and used - specifically indicates post / comment replied to ... too often misunderstandings occur without.

Can't always disagree with that one.

As long as it's not used to, or by:

1. Create a partial quote, which then reads as a misquote, of a person's post
2. Show off one's expertise while correcting others, at it's worst when done by using the method described in #1
4. Simply never miss an opportunity to show off one's expertise
5. Folks who never post contributions, but simply quote others for the purpose of any of the above

then I guess I'm okay with it. At some forums, the above include about 99.9% of quotes made. Fortunately we haven't reached that point here, and hopefully won't.

What about the quote inclusion bothers you? It comes in handy when there have been many posts since
a reply to your personal post. I can see how it can lead to confusion, but much less than when a reply
that seems to appear out of thin air as preceding posts seem to have taken a right turn.

Guess I can't argue with that one either.

Thumbs up Two of many :)

Ok, I have a very strong TLAR when it comes to scratch building......Nigel you mentioned approx the same ideal with "if it looks right".....I offer two of my birds that were built a number of years ago.
The first is a former WF contest finalist here:

And this one is another "looks about right" design. I drew this one on a sheet of printer paper and just kept changing things 'til it was right with what I saw it in my head

I have more
