You guys are doing a great job on these planes! Think I would just display them!

I looked all over and probably missed the thread, but what paint are you guys using?

The Albatros actually comes with a tiny 2.4 radio. It's nothing fancy, but does the job. You can also get the Parkzone planes with a small 2.4 transmitter. The good thing about the PZ planes is that you can bind the to a real Transmitter if you want. I just wish those boards didn't cost $60!

I have been eyeing the wings from some other Micro foamies to see what could be made with them using just a little modification. The Albatros C.III or a Halberstadt C.III are definite considerations. If I did one of those, I would try to keep it in scale with the D.V so it would have a bit larger wingspan. Also under consideration are a SPAD or a Nieuport. I really don't thinjk it would be too much trouble to make a fuselage for any of them from scratch.

In the meantime, I have been playing a bit more with the lozenge. I still need to scale the lozenge correctly, but at least it is a start. I also am tinkering with an Austrian built D.III with the crazy Swirl pattern. I'll need to remove the white border from the cross and the rib tapes.

TM4197, I used Tamiya Acrylics, Tamiya sprays, and for my wings I used latex house paint thinned with Future acrylic floor finish sprayed with an airbrush. Just about any acrylic paint will work.

Nice source of photos!

If you check out the D.V and D.VA at Wingnutwings...there are some archive photos...all BW from WWI. The WNW kits are very nice!

I just purchased one of the new TX-R versions of this plane. They are including a free AnyLink module through April.

Earlier someone wanted to fly this plane with their dx6i. Now you can do that.

Too windy to try it out today. Will likely fly it with my Futaba 9C or a Spektrum Dx5e, or both.

scalercflyer: Do you have a link for the pictures in your posts 280-283? I'm looking for some WWI desktop wallpaper like this featuring aircraft.

I bound to the anylink. seems Flyzone put the rudder on the rudder channel, left stick, instead of the aileron channel, rt stick, where it belongs on a 3 channel plane.

I have the Dr1 and noticed that. I just mixed aileron and rudder 100%. Simpler to do than reassigning the functions.

Impossible to do on a non-computer radio.

Default Motor Problem

I just pulled a bad motor from my alby, getting ready to replace it. I forgot to look to see if there was any down/right thrust before I took the bad motor out. Does anyone know if there's any down/right thrust I need to consider when I mount the new motor?
