Default Lipos, store charged or discharged?

Hey everyone!

Do you guys store your lipos with a charge on them or fully dead?

Thanks and happy flying!

Lipos should be stored at between 50 and 60% charge. Some of the better chargers can be set to charge or discharge your lipo to this level. There is also a device from the P. Daniels company called a 'Normalizer' that will discharge your packs to a safe storage level.

50% charge. For the more fanatical or long-term in a ziplock in the fridge (NOT freezer). Warm in the ziplock to room temp before taking out. I do this for any storage longer than a few days, but then, I'm that way.

If you want them permanently dead, discharge them to dead. Even below 3.0v/cell is not a good idea.
