OK, some of you are probably bummed about the earthquake thread being closed and want to continue the discussions of science and physics. Well, now you have somewhere to discuss it.

Let's hear your thoughts about quantum physics, time travel, cosmic oddities, how the US Government faked the moon landing, you name it.

However, this is your first and only warning. Please follow the forum rules or your post will be deleted:

"Get to know other eflight modelers in the WattFlyer community here in this off topic forum. NO politics or religion discussion please"

Have fun!

Did you know you can't wheelie a shaft drive bike?

You can't fly a 3ch plane inverted, either.

Did you know you can build a wind-powered vehicle that will go directly downwind faster than the wind?

I hate having someone censor my thoughts and opinions. While this is a private forum (is it?), there is this First Amendment Right thing in the Constitution of the United States of America that states that people have the right to state their own opinions on matters of government and religion. Seems like it has been a pretty good idea for around 200 or so years.

....

The remainder of this post has been deleted for violating the forum rules.

I have done a wheelie on my dads 1984 1200 Goldwing, And for a while the long distance wheelie record was held by a Goldwing. My 1985 GL1200 LTD seems to have a soft clutch, so I can't pop it off the ground, plus my bike weighs about 150 lbs more.

Do you remember the Dave Robelen Pronto ? I flew one of those until it fell apart from the castor oil getting into everything. It was a low winger with a severe dihedral and a flat bottom airfoil, it was real hard to hold inverted but I was able to do it after a lot of trials.

This is a private forum with rules. You agreed to follow those rules when you signed up. So do you abide by your promises and agreements?

I think perhaps you need to follow your own advice.

I find hyper velocity guns to be facinating. Don't know why. Railgun, coilgun, light gas gun, mass driver, scram cannon, ram accelerator, etc...

Respectfully submitted:

First amendment rights do not apply to internet forums.
Internet forums are funded. Only the funding source has 100% right to post what ever they feel.

If you want a place on the internet where you can fully post what ever words you wish to, then you need to go and fund that source, and create the place where your views, opinions, perceptions and conclusions are without any guideline of your choosing.

Here, as mentioned, you clicked the "agree to terms" box.

Those are the terms of participating at Wattflyer, the forum for Electric RC Flight.

Darn Steve does that kits bring back some memories. I didn't have that particular one, but my parents got me the more dangerous ones with beakers and flames, and chemicals to mix.
Wasn't a good idea on my parents part, but I am still here today.

OK, you CAN wheelie a shaftdrive bike - I've done it.

As for the second, I guess it depends on how long one needs to stay inverted to call it inverted flight -I've had my champ flying upside down for very short distance (i got there via a loop - fly out at the top upside down). Granted you have no roll or yaw control with the antihedral wing situation.

Yup
There was one of those shows on TV (Mythbusters??) that proved that a windpowered vehicle can be built that will go downwind faster than the wind. They built it, tested it, and verified it.

I've got an old OS58 glow engine that has a roller bearing at the front of the crankshaft, and a ball bearing at the other end. Did a seasons flying with it, back in the mid 1960's. It has not been run in 15-20 years, but still turns over. (No muffler back in those days)
