Not to hijack the thread here but.
I was hoping E-flite would make a .25 size FW190. Just like the one Kyosho made.
I would also be happy if they made a Zero too

Actually, Kyosho makes a .50-sized FW-190 (the A-variant). Hyperion is the one with a .25-sized FW-190 (D-variant).

And Kev, you are so good to me. And it only took minimal brow-beating! Hehe.

I liked it, too, but mostly due to its larger size, its flaps, and the fact that it's a FW-190A instead of a FW-190D. But it's definitely not a 25-sized plane. On a plus note, all future Hyperion warbirds (after the P-40 is released) are supposed to come with flaps, so that's something to look forward to.

Hey GFDengine204,

The Zero is one of my all time favorites. But sales have always shown they never sell. Most axis planes never make it off the showroom shelves. I know everyone is going to say I would buy one, but if you were all to buy 10, then we know we would sell 150. We need to sell many more than that.

The samller guys like Nitro Planes and such can do odd subject matter and survive, where we as a large company that supports a large dealer network have a had time making the sale to the executives. My personal loves are below, but it will be a very long time in coming for any of them to make it to a box with an E-flite label is my guess. I fight every time I can, but the standard answer of Mr. Redman, that is enough comes to life on a regular basis.

A6M5 Zero
SBD-5 Dauntless
JU-87 Stuka
B-24 Liberator
P-39

Those are just a few.

John

PvT and me are both in the B-24 rallying booth. If it ever comes to light, you can consider my check cashed immediately.

PvT, that's a bummer. Hope you can get it sorted out without too much trouble!

Hey guys,
I will be ordering the finishing parts for my texan for my E-flite At-6 this friday.
For an ESC, i am using a Turnigy sentry 60A esc. I also am ordering a seperate BEC incase the built in BEC cant handle the servos.
As for a battery, i am opting with a turnigy 11.1V 5000mah 20C

I really think with the Turnigy Sentry 60A, you should be okay if you don't want to order that separate BEC. I've kinda waivered back and forth on it, but if it was my plane, I think I'd probably just end up using the built-in BEC on that particular speed controller.

If you haven't already, check the dimensions on that battery and make sure it will fit. The battery bay is pretty large, but double check just in case. Nothing stinks more than forgetting to measure the battery bay opening and then finding out your pack won't fit!

I asked my dad if i can work an extra 4 hours to have enough $ for the E-flite ESC, he had no problem with me helping him around the house.
I got everything ordered yesterday, im excited

Your list contains all well modeled planes - except 2. The Liberator and the Dauntless. Of all WWII aircraft the SBD holds a dear place in my heart. Every WWII navy movie that had a carrier in it seemed to show a SBD on deck either in ready area or taking off. What a plane and there is not one currently on the market! My vote would definitely be for the SBD-5 Dauntless! I'd probably do it like I did the Corsair and have to have two!

While I would love to see one from E-Flite, there IS a Dauntless on the market now in the same 1/12th scale that E-flite's previous foam warbirds came in. It's from Windrider. I need to add more pictures to the thread, but check here: http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48450

That being said, a Dauntless from E-flite released in their Platinum lineup would be stinkin' incredible to own. Foamies are all fun and good, but E-flite's Platinum birds are a big eye-catcher and any of those in the list would be stellar additions to the private hangar.

I looked at the weather forcast for saturday. Its going to rain and thundershower all day this saturday. It looks like I'll have to put her off till next week. ( Gives me more time to work on the retracts and do some taxi tests outside.

I have a new hi-def video camera and a new 5 week old baby girl. So I've been a little distracted.

Here, you can have fun with both of them without being distracted
