Default Time to get her up in the air!!!

Hey everybody, Long time no see . The texan is still laying down in my basement... for now

This winter should have been the re-build of my texan. But the indoor F3p / 3D season took all my money away . but, i have saved the money, and my next project WILL be the texan. I am going away the first two weeks of summer, and i hope to have her done after that for a long summer full of texan flights
Nice seeing you all! Cant wait to get mine back in the air!

Don't feel bad. My Texan has been repaired ,but has not seen the light of day. Maybe some time before the season ends.

Default Return of the Texan!

I know this thread has been dormant for a while, but i wanted to post an update of my Texan's return to the skies! I successfully re-maidened mine today. I decided to use the "auto land" feature of my DX-7 to avoid a repeat of the death spiral that happened on my maiden. Autoland will drop the flaps a a predetermined throttle setting. It really helped with the landing.

Anyway, am I the only one flying the Texan these days?

If you ever get yours back in the air post it here. In the meantime I will be enjoying this bird! After a little more stick time I will decide if I'll go for the retracts. Right now fixed gear is good enough.

Hi all, does anyone know where I can buy an AT-6 Texan with a sound system. I heard one at the field, and now gotta get one. I was a kid all over again-and I'm pushing 70; growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional. Would prefer an RTF.
