drone battery dies after 1 year ,why?
#1

I have a larger glow inthe dark elite Orinon drone and it akes a 2S 1200 30C battery I purchase 2 new ones a year ago well this winter both battery's died after 1 minute in the flight.
I charge them with the proper lipo charger , to full put them in a cool place and should they have died after 1 year usage and not that many flights on them ?

Are you saying you are fully charging the batteries before putting them in storage? If so, this is not a good practice as lipos don't like to be stored fully charged. You will want to put them on storage charge, which is typically 3.8 - 3.86v per cell. If your charger does not have a storage charge function, you will need to do it manually. Once at storage charge, put them in a refrigerator at 40°. I have a mini-fridge in the garage where I keep my lipos.

As other says ... do not store fully charged.
I store at 3.75V per cell and actually I don't bother with a fridge ... I just store as is ... but at that 3.75v ..

Don't forget to disconnect battery from controller(s) after a days flying. Even though motor is not running, controller always draws a little bit of current. This may discharge LiPo too far, ruining it.
