Went flying early Good Friday Morning and my new pretty E flite micro Stearman had no elevators. Zip, nada, nichts.... It's only had 18 flights. So I called EFlite/Horizon and set up a return. Meanwhile I wanted to get JT to help me set up my F4F on my DX6i and just for grins I brought my dead Stearman along. JT fiddled with a little screwdriver through the open front cockpit and moved the gear on the left built-in servo on the brick. In less than a minute he had cleared the bind. He then worked the elevators vigorously, said thus type of bind is not that unusual with a new plane not fully broken in (it only has 18 flights on it).
So big thanks and another reason to support your local hobby shop!

Had that elevator servo, which was not yet "broken in", decided to bind in flight, I highly doubt it would have ever had the chance to become "broken in".
If you've already arranged the return and replacement, take it. Servos don't require a break in period.

Drove an hour home with my new purchase. The UMX Stearman had no elevator movement out of the box. Was pretty depressing considering how excited I was with my first micro. Turns out that that tiny linkage in there had a excess blob of glue locking it to the frame of the brick. Scraped that little bugger off and had a great night. Doesn't take much to obstruct those baby servos. Glad to hear you got it back in order.
