Default Scratch build a piper j3, 25 class

I'm in the middle of building a slow stick, for my first plane.

And I have wanted a piper j3 since I saw one hanging in a hobby shop in town when I was a just a kid.

Now I'd like to build one from scratch, wanted a kit, but cant afford it any time soon.

A guy on rcg, is helping me with some plans, for a 25 class. will be brushless.

Right now I plan on getting some wood as funds come avaible from a hobby train store, they only carry assorted balsa wood, and some of the planks are $1.95 each.

Maybe I can get a start soon, but will most lickly have to look else ware for the majority of the wood.

I have somethings, in the classifieds, was going to trade for a kit, or parts.

Any build tips, of help would be wanderful.
I have some tools, exacto knife, dremal, jigsaw, drill, other tools.
At the moment I have 4 3/32 planks, and some small squar peices I bought from the train store.

Thanks

Thanks for the links, even thou I have already been thru them, I'll go thru again to see if I missied something.

I have my plans, But I have to get a program Called TilePrint, to prinf my plans out to scale, so I can work off them.

Or take the PDF and get it printed out.
TilePrint would be nice, as I have my own printer, and dont need a large plane to build from. I can easyly, work from pages tilled together.

I did find something useful the hobbieco cutting board. I pretty much know how to build, since I did build a glider once from a kit.

My holdup now, is waiting to get tileprint.

I dont have Tileprint, so no help there, but I do use a company that does blue prints for construction companies to print any plans I need. Typical charge is 2.50 per 36x48" sheet and they can print from a PDF file. You may want to look in your area and see if thats a better option.

ms enterprise 07 installed, has word and bunh other junk in it. adobe reader, installed, paint, and tileprint but limited functions, want print all the pages, has to be unlocked, if I had the money on hand in my paypal, id just get it. that would be all I need. I dont think ms enterprise, with word will tile print pages to scale.

If you still haven't found a scale and tile program, Bill Segraves over on RCGroupe is offering a free program he has written called Scale and Tile. I use it a lot and it works very well.
