Default My Death Adder Scratch Build

Ok, so about 12 months back I entered The

2008 foamie Contest, Most Unlikely to Fly Category.

I never did finished the complicated task of developing foamie, but it keeps looking at me every time went past the formal dinning table. It was off limits to work there. So, undoubtedly I had to postpone the little project till I finished my garage and workstation. Today, I'm happy to say that I have finished my workstation and I ready to get deep in the construction and development.

it's going to have an airfoil wing

Main wing and fuse

Wing reinforcment

Tail Area..

Another view 2 thirds the actual length in my mind..still in need of rudder and tailorons

Wing support closeup..

What do you say? Can this fly? Can we make it fly?

Last night I did a little work on the Adder.. I'll let the pictures do the talking..

As seen from the front..

The eye ball cut I did for the equipment enclosure intake is a little off. I will fix later..

I still need to finish the tail section..

Rear section without tail..

Side view

No tail or gear and it's balanced almost at the money..

I added the Rhino 1500 3C and positioned the motor at the very front and it balanced perfectly..

Ok, so today during my lunch break I'm going to get me a small digital scale from Target. When I get home after a long day at work in front of the computer, I will weigh my Death Adder to see how much it weights without gear.

I'm guessing 1 pound..

But, then again... I still need to add the Shadow's style tail..

In the mean time I have put it aside until I know exactly how much power I will need for the test flights.

I have set up all my equiptment on the table.. I have enough stuff for 4 foamies, but only 2 would be able to have some airtime at the same time..

I have started a FFF Mig-29 which plans I got from somewhere.. That's what I'm working on now.. I destroyed voluntairly my Golem's PlaneBlue F-22 to get the equpitment off of it.. I will put it on the Mig-29.. I have other combos I can get on something else..

What to build.. Oh, What to build !!!
