Default VERY VERY easy & cheap to build scratch built EDF "jet"

FINALLY a success. Man it's not easy to scratch build a plane that flys fast(or at all) on an EDF. At least for me. I started out making an F-4 Phantom EDF.....WAY too heavy....too bad since it looked kinda neat. Then I made an A-6 intruder EDF. Light weight but too top heavy.

Then I decided to keep the build as super simple, quick and easy and light weight as I could. The wing and tail shapes were paterned after my foam GWS Formosa plane but with more of a swept wing. I wanted lots of lift so I could float in on landings but I wanted as little drag as possible so she would fly fast. I just used craft store foam board. $6.00 a sheet =) It's got a 64MM fan robbed from my Riccs T-38, 2500mah batt., 30AMP ESC and 4800KVM Electrifly motor. Hand launches real easy, floats down slow for landings. With the rather large aielrons it has a crazy fast roll rate(which I wanted). I sort of had this weird vision of a stunt EDF since I had never seen one before. All I need to do is ad a rudder and I could do some pretty cool manuvers.

Default Video proof it flies =)

Check it out. The grey sky made it hard for the camera to keep in focus.
