Default Show Off Your Flying Field

I'm surprised this hasn't been done before. Let's see some pics of your flying field taken by you or one of your club mate's AP planes.

Here is mine. It isn't much compared to some but its "home."

Let's see some more fields! We are always looking for things to improve and maybe you can help us out with some ideas.

Thanks,

Frank

I can not find any on my laptop. I will try to grab some next time I go out there.

I am not going to renew my membership at GAMA. They are getting stricter and stricter rules. No nitro/gas before noon. Because of the new neighborhoods going in, they will lose their field soon.

Bummer!!!! (insert a stronger term here) Encroachment blows. Unfortunately, this is happening way too often at fields around the USA. Real sorry to hear that.

That's a LOT of pretty green you have out there. Is your field down there somewhere? No winter flying in your area?

Ned has some Aerial pics of our field.. My Home Field will always Be Hodges. It is just alot closer to go to Cochran to the Robinsons School of Aeronotiks.. (Big hay field with huge landing strip... It's my Second favorite field.. I have a SOD farm 2 miles from my house and I would rather go to Cochran. I will get some pics..

Here's our flying field, it's Electric power only, due to the fact that the field is the well head for the Annapolis Water district. It's not a A.M.A. sanctioned field, but we have our own liability Ins policy $1,000,000. The club dues are $30 a yr, $20 a yr for seniors. The name of the club is E-Flaps. E-Flaps... Enviromental Friendly Little AirPlane Society. Electric powered aircraft up to 50" wingspan can be successfully flown here.

In the mid 60s we were getting kicked out of wherever we went to fly so 6 of us decided to buy out own little chunk of dirt. Bought 35 acres out in the boonies about 15 miles out of town. We still have DB limits and such to keep the farmers and their cows happy. On the right side of the pic. there's a step we built to go over the fence so we wouldn't damage it if we had to go over to pick up a plane. Farmer was happy.

I have not seen anyone from the UK post a photo of thier flying site, I think the reason is because you guys in the states have such nice places just for R/C flying, we have to make do with farmers fields etc or military airfields. So here's a photo of my local club, as you will see 2 main runways as well. We have a limit on engine sizes, but no one really follows it to well, had a few complaints from neighbours in the past.
