Bill, sign up for the base motorcycle class. I am not too sure about GA, but that class in MS allowed you to forgo the DMV driving test.

I'll try and not kill myself FMB.

I talked to the chick at the dealership and the safety course is $250 and you gotta take time out to do it. I rode a street bike for 3.5 years at Ft Bragg and am a bit more cautious nowadays so I should be ok...I think

Default FJR helps keep me young at heart

I've had my 2004 Yamaha FRJ1300 since October, 2003. It has been smooth, fast, and reliable since the first day I brought it home.

[email protected] Sweet looking ride. I almost pulled the trigger on a sport bike but can't trust myself with them anymore. Once I roll it on I find it hard to stop myself.

FMB - I'll probably end up scaring myself more than anyone else.

It'll be nice to get out on those long Georgia country roads and cruise by the cows and such. You know the ones down by Hodges

They do a ride every year that goes down hwy 49 to the POW memorial. LOTS of bikers show up for that ride.

Back in the good old days pre-mandatory helmet on Angeles Crest... and older and wiser looking down at the lake at Big Bear..
And commuting between Burbank and Palmdale, in Soledad Canyon.

I've attached several pics of my bike as I made modifications to it. I've also attached a picture of my buddy with his red SV (which he later sold). I love this pic because it makes the bike look like a mechanical monster.

The SV650 is a budget bike. It has a great power plant but horrible suspension and the factory looks aren't all that great. I prefer the V-Twin over the I4's which is why I just didn't buy a GSXR, plus, it's my first bike.

Here's what I've got on it at the moment:

Complete GSXR750 front-end with Racetech internals
Ohlins PRCL Shock
Leo Vince Exhaust
Honda F3 Rear Wheel
Michelin Pilot Power Front/Michelin Pilot Road Rear
LED Turn Signals/Clear Alternatives Taillight/Hotbodies Undertail
Veypor Gauges w/ custom dash panel and warning LED's
GP Composites GSXR Fairing kit with GSXR750 headlight and fairing stay
Motrax bar-end mirror
14t/45t Gearing w/ DID X-Ring Chain
Woodcraft rearsets
Solo seat cover
Sargent seat
Pazzo Shorty Levers
Stainless Steel Brake Lines

I'm also working on a fiberglass GP inspired hugger. Once the weather warms up again I'm planning on finishing it. The original is red. The one on the left is the mold I took from it and the one on the right is the hugger I pulled from the mold which I used to turn into a plug for my new design.

Here's me working on the design of the new one. I put resin on the cardboard to stiffin it then used that as a base to lay FG cloth.

Here it is with some primer on it. My next step is to pull a mold from this so I can turn out the real thing.
