I'm with you Bruce. I don't ride in the cold anymore--just not into the endurance test anymore. Well I sold my XJR today with out getting around to posting in the collector car fourm, and realized (digital camera-less as I am) that I'll never get aroud to grabbing any great pics of my 3 vintage Triumphs. But I have this one from last summer. Me and my youngest on the '69 Bonnie heading out on great summer day. COME ON WARM WEATHER...
DAMM AND BLAST.!.!. PIC IS NOT HERE. I'll try again later. sorry.

Here is good thinking......I parked the bike here in front of the garage door about 2 weeks ago when we had 70's temps - thinking I would be riding soon again......now it just sits...

Put another car tire on the Valk last weekend but I found a couple of seals in the final drive not looking good so I had it up on the jack all week waiting on the seals. Got them in Friday, installed them yesterday, finished putting most of it back together today and went for a ride. It was about as bad not being able to fly looking at the Dragon on the rack!

The tire is a Goodyear Tripletread and it rides better than the Yokohama that I had on it the last go around. I've got a new piece of chrome for it and plan to put that on this coming week then reinstall the saddle bags.

Chellie

I just got a eflight CX heli, spent more time fixing than flying. I do like wings though. My dad used to be into wire control flight in the 50s and also free flight.

I'll check out the link.

Hey Don,

I have herd of guys putting car tires on their Valkyries. Whats up with that?? I'm am in need of a rear tire for my Valkyrie this season. Got some pros and cons for the car tire use. Do you get a ton more miles out of a car tire? How does a flat tire handle in the twisties? I like to lay my Valk down in the corners. I was going to buy an Avon Venom R, they have proved them selfs with many Valk riders.

What size tire did you get and how much did it cost?

Thanks,
CTD
