It comes just like the pic. three color paint and decals. You know if you get a bottle of the Ultimate RC Foam Glue it would make your build much easier.

Are you saying you already ordered the F-18? If so, where did you go to get it?

Mike,
It is a link off of the main homepage called "Pre-Order the FA18"

You know what, I may do just that!

If you get the F-18 John, let me know how she flies. I think I'll put in my order when I get back from NTC.

The first 23 F-18's left yesterday. So, I guess that I should go take the "pre-order off the web site.

Attached is the DEC add for Fly RC Magazine.

Thanks

I couldn't find the F-18 on the web site, or the link that John gave me. I clicked on the link and it took me right to it, but how would I get to that link if John hadn't given it to me?

Go to www.yardbirdrc.com. There is two links on the home page or you can get to it from the products page. You may need to punch refresh.

Thanks

My Yardbird F-18 was waiting for me on the porch today when I got home! I can hardly wait to put this bird together and get her up in the air. Based on my experience with my YB-22, I'm expecting great things from the F-18.

Rick, do you recommend the Dualsky or Motrofly powerplant? Right now, I'm using an Eflite 370 on my YB-22. Flies great with good response and can go vertical. However, I'm looking for something with a little more punch.

Thanks,

tiger86

Both Combos have great power. The Motrolfly combo is a little faster, the Dualsky has a longer flight time.

I just got a batch of clear canopies for all three Parkjets. This is the first pic. They are going in all kits starting today. I will have them available for retrofitting this week as well.

Rick,

That clear canopy looks great. How does one go about acquiring them? Are they free if you have already purchased a Yardbird kit before? Reason I ask is that I just ordered an F-22 and F-18 the week of 8/25 and already received them. The old foam canopies are fine, but the clear one would be awesome!

Thanks,

Tim

The canopies will be available for $3.99 and will also have two pilots.
Thanks

Looks like you have done it again Rick, you have created one of those "I got to have one of those" planes again. My YB-22 has about 25 flights on it and still going strong. I did manage to blow on of the vertical fins off but it flutter down and landed about 30 feet from where I was standing. I didn't notice allot of difference in flight without it and landed it with no problems. I removed the other one and poked holes in the base of the fins and mounting holes in the fuselage with a round tooth pick. I glued them in with 5 minute epoxy and haven't had a problem again. I have 2 other projects to complete but I am sure I will be ordering your new F-18 soon. "Now lets see what color scheme can I come up with now?"

I definitely agree with John Pilon 1, awesome paint scheme! A friend once told me, "Anyone who doesn't make her their own (custom painting her) is missing out". I wonder who that was

Default Fast Company

A few months ago I took some pics with my Yb and some very fast company, the P-51, Strega. Strega just one the unlimited gold race last weekend at the Reno air races. We took second in the AT-6 class with the Warlock. Not a bad weekend for the Minter airfield bunch!

That's awesome Pilon!! How exactly did you accomplish the paint scheme on your YB? I like the flames from the leading edge like that.

Hi Angler, sorry to take so long to get back with you. Paint was done with Airtex paints from Michaels craft store. It was done wit an airbrush and cardboard templates. The floresent yellow and reptor graphics I did myself in premium vinyl on my 24" plotter, its nice to have the right tools. I just found a way to cut Mono-kote on it and it just opened up another world.
