Thanks,

I will take a look at the calc program. What batteries (voltage) and prop size did you use on that 4020-12?

Sorry about that. i ran the 4020-12 on 6S/5000/20C with a 12/12 Apc E prop.
Checking reveals the 4020-12 with 9x9 Apc on 10S draws 71A for 2611watts, 152mph at 17965rpm.
I did a quick check on the 4020-10, 9x9 Apc on 8S pulls 72 for 2117 watts and 142 mph at 16690 rpm. Max power for the #10 is 95A
The 4020-8 on 7S pulls 100A for 2601 watts with 9x9 Apc at 17805 rpm.Max power for #8 is 100A. FWIW flying-barely

Just wondering if this will be a workable scenario. Scorpion S-4025-12 , Castle ICE 100 with Nano-tech 6S-4500 lipos ... Best choice APC 16x8 or a 16x10 E prop ? Prop length is at maximum of 16 inches as this is in a Top-Flite Cessna 182-60 at auw of 13.6 lbs. Many thanks

Based on this calculator I would use the 16x10 prop and you should be ok.

Hi stegl: I flew my 15lb Turbo Beaver with the 4025-12, using a 15/8/3 blade EMP for 1420 watts. It flew very scale.
Scorpion calc shows the 4025-12 with a 16/8/2blade apc using 67A,1454 watts 62m mph and 201 oz thrust static.
The 16/10 apc shows76A 1692watts 75 mph and 217 oz thrust static.
Personally I'd think the 16/8 would be plenty for scale and the 16/10 would allow some spirited acrobatics. FWIW flying barely

Appreciate the input guys.... the more the better. Accoring to my Eflite wattmeter if I remember correctly I was pulling about 53-54 amps on 6S and using a APC 16x8 . Thought that was on the low side.

Did the maiden flight this morning and found that the 16x8 APC did a fine job for the flight. Static on 6S was about 54 amps.. 8300 rpm. Haven't tried the Xoar 16x8 prop to see if any diference one way or the other. Had more than enough speed for level flight but no prop hanger..... need a 20 incher for that.
