Default Newbie question: How to set up multi-engine electrical system?

Hi, I've been thinking of scratchbuilding a small twin-engine electric plane (maybe a mini-B25 or something) and I was wondering how to set up a multi-engine electrical system...i.e., can I just splice together the radio leads on 2 ESCs and have the plane run on a single throttle, or do I need an additional "black box" between my radio and my ESCs, etc? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, since I'll be 2x the power with 2 motors, is it possible to connect 2 LiPo packs in parallel? This should give me the same voltage as one pack, but with 2x the amp-hours, right?

This diagram is for brushed motors but the principle is the same.

For parallel Lipo packs (same voltage, twice the capacity) you can get a Deans plug Y set-up from BP Hobbies or some other store. http://www.bphobbies.com/view.asp?id...1&pid=B1858542

Thanks! This is very clear now, and just as simple as I hoped for.

also what if you have two batteries and can't hook it up parallel.
My motors are turning somewhere between 100 and 150 RPM different
