Default EDF Question

I would like to know if you can use an outrunner motor in an edf setup.
Also if anyone can point me the right way to where i can find some info in edfs as well thanks. the quicker i learn about this the quicker i can make my pusher jet to an edf and not an prop

Sure you can! Lot's of EDF's use outrunners now. You'll just want one designed for that like the E-Flite BL 400 used in the Super Airliner. That is what is in mine.

Of course you'll need one tailored to the setup you are looking for.

now do i need to mount the out runner like i would in a normal way or does it just sit there and work ?? and and that airliner looks really nice

Yeah the mounting holes mount to the fan housing and the bell spins behind it. The shaft side comes out of the mounting side as opposed to the bell end.

Look at the manual for my airliner and you can see how it is setup. Page 14 has a good pic of it.

i see i see that helps alot i think the jet is coming sooner then i thought as long as i have some time to do it
