Default One transmitter for multi copters?

If I buy several of the same model can I use one transmitter for all of them?
Would this work with cx,cx2 and Scout?(not sure if scout is dsm) I know the scout is 3 channel but I could ignore that stick.
At present I have scout/EFLRT324, MCX2/MLP4DSM, and CX2/LP5DSM .
I also have a used 120SR coming with a tx. Thanks; Don

To the best of my knowledge, you'd need all the recievers to be within the same frequency format, recognized or compatible with a matching transmitter.....like a Spektrum DSM DSMX system (or equal).

The 120sr came. it also has a MLP4DSM transmitter. I'm guessing that eventually I'll end up with a DX6I. Don

A DX6i will work with all your Spektrum compatible helis but check it's programming capabilities carefully. It might make sense to go up to a DX7, 8, or 9. I ran into the DX6i's programming limitations pretty quickly with airplanes.

Your RTF TX's do have some resale value. That will defray the cost of whatever new TX you choose somewhat.

Thanks; I need to educate myself on theDX6I.
Can I program in the "beginner" mode for my MCX2 and scout? (scout may not be DSM) Will the stock tx still work after I bind to the DX6I? From what I have read it will store 10 different helicopters.

you can bind everything but the scout. I had a mcx, mcx2 & the 120sr bind with dx4,5 & 6. something about the scout that will not let it bind to anything but the trans that came with it
