I Flew this morning [Sat].It was all the wind my slow stick could handle. Almost lost it down wind once. Challenging and fun. The wind is supposed to abate tonight. I want to fly my Motor glider tomorrow. Hope to see you all there in the mourning. Dave

Way to go, Dave. I saw you from my front window, where I was nice and toasty. Hope conditions are better tomorrow, but with this front moving in, I kinda doubt it.

The weather.com site predicts 6-7 mph winds tomorrow morning. I'll be at the field. I hope to see floyd's new glider. Dave

Default Windy?

I think weather.com got it wrong. I live about 3 miles directly south of our field and the wind is howling right now. I think I'll look for another weather website in the future.

I see that our clock on our forum is 6 hours ahead [or at least mine is]. I used to think "man, these people stay up late"

I'm jealous, you high desert folks have all the big sky. My father in law use to live at Landers/Yucca Valley.

Drove the shortcut across from Barstow many times, and as I was staring at the wide open spaces, I kept thinking to myself "why did I leave my planes at home?"

Oh yeah, now I remember, the pickup was loaded to the top.

New plane Looks good Chellie, congrats!.

Hi mdavid: I agree! I live less than a mile from you and it's blowing at least 20 MPH, with gusts even higher.
