all but 3 in my fleet are powered by hurc my electristar is still stock and my e-flite 480 is powered by eflite 480 bl and my mini supersportster is powered by a himax motor and castle creations esc that is how it came when i bought it from fellow club member the rest of the fleet my hanger 9 ugly stik is powered by 4248-08 and 60amp esc from jeff, great planes spectra powered glider was just converted to brushless using 2836-10 and 30 amp esc it is like being towed up with a winch i figure i will now be able to fly this plane all day on one battery if i want to, i can get it almost out of site in less than a minute shut the motor off and hunt for thermals (my lawn chair flyer) I also have an e-flite asscent i just converted using a 2408-21 outrunner and a 15 amp esc same performance as the spectra i am in the middle of my next conversion it is a model tech 300 extra .25-.30 that i am converting to electric using 3530-10 and 60amp esc from jeff this will probally be a little under powered but should make a good scale flyer i'm hoping if its to slow then i may upgrade to the 4248-08 at a later time. and jeff has helped me out a lot by answering my questions each time before buying and has never steared me wrong. thanks jeff.

that is a cowl from a great planes mini supersportster i had it laying around slapped it on and it fit really makes it look fast doesn't it? i think it is going to be alot more fun to fly now compared to the brushed motor that was in it. and the motor looked like a tumor hanging on there without the cowl seeing as i hung the motor of the front instead of inside the way the brushed motor was mounted.

Using a TP 7x6E my numbers off the Wattmeter are as follows:

14.93 amps
6.46 volts
96.7 watts

AUW is 11.5 oz

Here's my latest plane with all the power system supplied by Heads Up.

It's an E-Flite Pulse XT 25e 52" wingspan.

Motor: 3548-09 outrunner
ESC: Power up 60 amp
Servos: GWS 24 gram mini servos (4)
Prop: APC 13x6.5 E
Batteries: two 3S 2200 25C packs in parallel

Still waiting for maiden

my stable with all POWER BY JEFF. supercub wing w/ sorta telemaster fuse homebuilt. 2410 with 20 amp esc and 3s 1600. maidened this morning.
starlet w/ same power system. and working my up to this f4c from Shumate plans.

Here is my freshly built Stevens Aero Shaft 400. Powered by a 2409-18 motor and a Power up 1300 LIPO, and of course 4 9 gram servos all from Jeff. Electronics are rounded out by a Spektrum ar6100 receiver and a Thunderbird 18 ESC. I started with with a 10x5 TP prop on it, but changed to a GWS 1060 prop instead for a little bit more speed and lower amp draw. Not to mention I notice less of a torque roll effect with the 1060 prop when I hit the throttle.

All up weight is 17.1 ounces per my scale

Flight performance is great pleanty of power for aerobatics and good vertical. Flgiht times are about 10-11 minutes leaving 35%-45% power left in the pack after landing.

The ever-popular Slow Stick. First build was with a 2410-09Y, GWS 1147 prop, 20A ESC, Servo's and 3s Batt's ALL from HeadsUp.



My latest build is the Slow Stick Boat. Upgraded the motor to a 2836-09 which gives all the vert. I could need w/ the slight addition in weight.

Looks sharp too!





Jeff has been great, and he's recently helped me outfit my new YardbirdRC F-22 (currently in the build) with a 2409-12T, 7x6, ESC, Servo's, Rx..... He's a one stop shop.

I replaced the PZ servos with TP MG90 servos in my Stryker. I had to do a small bit of foam cutting and add extensions. So far they've worked really well. I like the idea of metal gears and I think these might be my servo of choice for future planes.

My latest HURC conversion: T-28 equipped the 480Plus a Power Up 40amp esc, and Jeffs 2250mah 3s.

I have a GWS T6 flying with the 2409-18T. I originally bought this motor for a GWS Formosa but put it in the T6 after retiring the 'Mosa


The setup: 20.6 AUW; 2409-18T motor, GWS 1060 prop, 20A ECS, 3S 8C 1650 batts.

The results: The T6 flies very good on the 1060 prop but the amp draw is at the ragged edge for my 8C battery (13 amps). After a hard session the battery can be a little warm.

This setup gives very good performance on everythin except the verticals which die out pretty quickly. A little more power is in order for unlimited verts.

Other Props: GWS 9050 is the minimum prop for the 20 oz plane. Flies, but very limited vertical. GWS9075 really rocked this plane but I only had one which I broke after only a few flights. Plenty of power and much longer flight times than the 1060. I really need to get some more ( incoming order Jeff).

On the Formosa: This motor rocked! At 16oz AUW and a GWS1060HD the plane was a demon.

I'm currently building a new formosa that will be mostly Headsuprc as follows. Headsup 20A esc, Power Up 400 Sport motor, TP 9 gram servos. Should maiden in the next two weeks.

Jeff, you're solid! Keep up the great work. You are my new supplier. I'd expect no less from a fellow Wisconsinite!

On my second order from Heads Up...and like others here you are now my new supplier.

Modding a MPX Fox with the blue wonder and recommended bat ESC and Prop.

I have a pair of Emax 2822's I use in my scratch builds (although I could use the wonder here as well).

I have a P-40 on the way that I have yet to order up for....but I like to wait and order as much as possible form Jeff as being the genius that he is, he works the shipping and product mix to use USPS to every ones advantage. Good Business.

Glad to see you rise above FleaBay......bet you make more $$ and less hassle.

Keep up the good work my friend ...you have earned my business form here on in.

Oh yea .....I paraded the MPX FOX thru the LHS and all the guys behind the counter were oogleing the gear...I have your 3 gram servos in there as well as the 3 cell 500mah and the wonder 10 amp esc...nice package....I sent them to your site...maybe they will order in some.

Closing in on final refit to Lanier Shrike converting all old glow to electric. thanks to Jeff at "Heads Up", tough act to follow. Unlike some I have dealt with, parts arrived before I forgot what I had ordered. I call it a platinum momnet. old and blond (grey). The Shrike has the 35-30-10 with 40 amp ESC and 2250 FMA 3S lipo 20 c. looking at somewhere around 20-23 amps according to Jeffs prop chart.
Waiting for carbon landing gear from HC and 4 gm wheels so that I may save a prop or two.
Pictures below (I hope) show motor without aluminum cowl. Flashing is super light, malleable and can be removed and reinstalled without risk of damage. Target weight was 32-33 oz and with everything except servo linkages and landing gear, it sits at 1lb 14.9 ozs. could have saved some weight by getting rid of Bond but what the hey.
Everyone is sold out of 10x7 APC props and cant seem to find GWS either.
Added the red trim just to change the personality. Not sure if the pics show the intakes either side just aft of prop and the excapement behind canopy. intakes came from a Sams choclate chip cookie container...excapement from HP ink cartridge blister pack. Got plenty of those around.
Hope to throw this up in the air soon...

Running Headsuprc's 4248-08 in this Hyperion Extra 260 40E and having a blast! Very quiet motor for the $$$$
15 minute flight times of upper and mid throttle with 11x7apc and 4s 5000mAh Flightmax. 15 minutes takes the battery down to about 25%.
Pulls a hair over 800watts till the battery settles down. Nice speedy setup! Thanks Jeff!
