You know Newjak..... He/she comes out with us, we'll have him/her converted to the light side of the force! Ah... the pleasure of a fixed wing aircraft!

Denise put $100 gift certificate at AtlantaHobbies. I am waiting for it to clear. I am seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on the PA Extra 260. It's green, but I read through the very large thread on RCG and asked questions about the color and orientation. I PM'd a few people and was told by them that the green is a brighter color than the tree line and has not been an issue. 1 sent me several pics of the plane flying against a treeline and you could see it plain as day. I think that I'm going to go that route. It was my second choice (Katana being my 1st but sold out) so I'm leaning that way. If it's bad for me, I can always do a little covering enhancement to bring it out better.

Comments?

I've been offered a couple of them used, but I figure that I'd be buying someones problems and their setups.

Used shouldn't be a problem as long as it hasn't been crashed. Some guys repair work is better than others. I say get it! You only come this way once so enjoy yourself. As long as it doesn't take food off of the table who cares.

Newjak....

I pulled the trigger on the PA Extra 260. I had a problem with the gift certificate that Denise gave me so I had to call them. Cliff Whitney, the manager, took real good care of me and got me hooked up with a red one that they had in the back. I also got an extra Cowl for $10. Hopefully I won't need it, but it won't hurt to have it!

Now I have to figure out the power system. When I get it, I may request a get together to have you help me get this thing assembled right.

I checked out the links you sent me. I think that motor will be ok. I wouldn't worry too much about the mounting holes in the fire wall. There is ALWAYS a way around it if it turns out to not match up.

Backwards isn't it? Why do you have one on it's way but have no plane?

I'm looking for a good deal on a used Sundowner. I have everything else I need for it. I put out "wanted" posts ,but got no response. If it takes too long I can use that motor on my H9 F-22

I'm going to try to get a little more stick time before I fly her though. I'm rusty. This has not been the best year for flying due to the weather. If it's not raining, it's windy. If it's not windy, it's hot. If it's perfect...."Honey Due List" gets in the way....
