Here's the Tractor Prop version I put together ... just deciding whether to print controls again as the skins are very thin ....
She has no servos in at present but all else is there ... ESC / Motor / Rx etc.
AUW to fly is 1225gr .... thrust was measured at over 1kg ..... so no problems to fly ... be a bit fast though ... and landings will be 'greasers' !! Wheels are fully removable - they just unclip.

Some have probably been following the RCG thread on this 3D print Vulcan. Basically 1m span ... 900 - 1000gr AUW, 50mm EDF ... and proper ducting to 4 outlets for thrust.
The builders migrated to talking about a Pusher version ... which a couple have built. Having already gone through the Pusher on a Vulcan before .... I remembered the cons outweighed the pros. So I started looking at tractor ... spinner to give a reasonable nose profile once prop is spinning etc.
As you say Q .... this allows me to high alpha that landing .... and despite that prop seen on the ground - the in-flight look should still be good.
I was hoping to modify the elevon set-up from the 4 servo split design ... but got fed up playing with Mesh programs to fix it ...
Have to decide what colour scheme to apply now ...

Battery will go where the EDF was - on the CoG mid of fuz. If you look at the photos above - you can see the EDF top hatch.
I haven't balanced her yet - just did beam calcs to see approx where weights go.
Will have pics shortly.

Here she waiting paint to harden (its touch dry) .... get her servos and then CoG setup. Prop removed while I painted spinner to blend in.

Here is the Vulcan 3D hangar so far ....

Taking them from top left = Prop job on wheels, top right is LW-PLA with 50mm EDF / 5000kv + 4S setup, bottom centre is PLA with 50mm FMS and 3S ....
