2D controls are gained from the independent pitching of each motor, Pitch and Roll
a third D is gained by varying the thrust independently.

It is already established that if the thrust vectoring is only up down for two thrust points, it is 2D
however adding another vector to the thrusts by way of pitching them left and right will add another D (yaw) this becomes 3D thrust vectoring.
getting the same effect by independent thrust management is not quite 3D thrust vectoring.

So it is technically 2D thrust vectoring. with independent thrust augmentation.

So that's 2D Thrust Vectoring with 2D Thrust Augmentation.

2D+2D or (2DX2D giving the same answer and an interplay) 2X2D for short which sound a bit cooler

But 3D thrust vectoring is not called 3D+1D because the simple Uniform thrust increase is not required to note.
So it probably should be just 2D Thrust Vectoring with extra D of Thrust Augmentation or 2+1D

Bryce.

Good luck with choosing a Name

LoL at my own post.
