Default Recommend an ESC for Power10

Hi all,

I nearly destroyed my Trojan T-28 with a Power10 motor when the stock EFlite 30A ESC died at full throttle. I did some bench testing post crash and running at WOT for a few seconds caused the engine and radio receiver to lose reception - making me pretty sure the ESC is toast?

I am looking at the Turnigy 40A lush ESC - any comments there?

Check out the Castle Creations 35 Amp Talon ESC, with built in 5 Amp switch mode BEC. I've got their 90 Amp ESC. Its built like a tank.

A bunch of us have souped-up our PZ T-28's. We run them fast on 4S and next year will put up a pylon course similar to full-scale Red Bull racing. We've gone with the Powerup 25 from Headsup Rc. About $24.00 plus $2.00 shipping

The Powerup 25 brings new life to the ole gal. http://www.headsuphobby.com/Power-Up...otor-E-580.htm

We're using 50-60 amp esc's. I like the Turnigy plush myself but Hobbywing, fms, dynam all have esc's that are pretty good. If you want a little more protection, add a separate 5amp bec so if things go awry, the rx will still get power.

Good luck !

Thanks Steve! I grabbed that one, as it comes pre-wired with the bullet connectors so I don't have to solder! The Power10 draws 32 Continuous and 42 burst, and this is rated for 45 continuous and 60 burst, so I should have enough headroom!
