Does anyone know the minimum voltage recommended on the tx battery? I mean how low can you "safely" go before recharging? Is there some kind of warning; like a beep? The manual doesn't have this info. I usually recharge it every couple flying days and it's around 10.2V. Just curious.

I have flown mine as low as 9.4 and still did fine.

Not sure what the low voltage is but it does have an audible alarm to let you know it is getting there. Mine went off one night out in the garage when I forgot to turn it off.:o

The DX6 has a warning beep and display when the TX voltage gets down to 9.0. Did they remove that on the DX7?

No, it's still there.

Like I said, the audible alarm went off when I left it on by mistake one evening.

(: I flew mine once very low on power, sometimes I don't check, and it seemed to reduce the throttle much like like the LVC in the ESC kicked in. I still had lot's of power in the plane as I was only about a minute into the flight.

I would suggest not going below 9.6V. As Bill said, you can but why push the lower end. If you push it too far, you will lose your airplane when the transmitter quits.

I bought a larger battery for my DX7 and keep it charged up. It can sit well over a month with going much below 9.8V if I don't get to fly during that month.

It is perfectly safe to go down to 9.2 volts on an 8 cell pack. At 9.6 volts, you still have well over 50% of the charge left in the pack. At 9.1 volts, you will still have about 15 minutes left to set up your landing safely.

I think the alarm is at 9 volts.. I have flown up to the alarm 3 or 4 times till I got my lipo.. Now I can fly 2 weeks on a charge..
