I love flying mine and gets it's fair share of attention at the flying field.

Check the included clevises as mine were not soldered that well.

The front landing gear bends easy if landing on grass....you may want to re enforce it if this is your case.

Cheers,

Gord.

Gord,

I HAVE ALREADY GLUED THE ENGINE NACCELLS, THE MOTORS ARE ALREADY
INSTALLED. ALL IM WAITING FOR IS THE ESC'C, THE SERVOS AND THE BATTERIES THAT I BOUGHT FROM NEOPLANES.COM

I GLUED THE VERTICAL STABILIZER
I INSTALLED A STANDARD ST-47BB SERVO FOR THE ELEVATORS.
I ALSO INSTALLED THE LANDING GEAR.
tHOUGH I HAVE A QUESTION, DO I REALLY HAVE TO SOLDER THE CABLES FOR THE ESC ?
THE MANUAL SAY'S TO, BUT DO WE HAVE TO ?

Are you talking about the cables from the ESC to the motor??

Anyone try putting retracts on one of these??

(btw, you don't have to type in CAP'S, we can read it just fine )

Bill (firemanbill) has a great build thread on his: http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23672

He was considering retracts but I don't believe he ever was able to make that work.

Thanks Kev. You are right I have not done retracts. There is one over on RCG where they have done it. Not sure of the link though.

Hi SuperAirlinerfreak101,

If you are talking about the ESC to the Motor, I use standard size bullet connectors. In higher amp applications such as my 1/10 rc cars it's recommended you solder the ESC leads to the Motor. In this case my bullet connectors are not a problem.

Regards,

Gord.

oooohhhhhhhhhhhh! So yours is not done yet. Oh well best of luck to you then.

Do the parts you bought line up spec wise with what eflite calls for? If so they will do well I'm sure.

Battery weight is critical for balance in this bird due to where they go. The first batteries I used required me to put a few ounces of weight in the nose to balance it. The ones I have now balance well withouth the weight.

CG is very important on this one!!!

They probably will for the Ailerons, rudder, and nose wheel steering. You'll need a full size for the elevator though.

My recommendation... if you can afford it put good quality servos in it. It would really suck to lose that bird due to a stripped out or failed servo...

At least put a good jr or hitec type in the wings for the ailerons. They will take a lot of stress. You'll be fine for the nosewheel and the rudder with those

ok. well I can put 2 hs-55 servos on the wing.

its that this bird comes out to be pretty expensive and especialy to me that I always have a new plane to buy, but I mostly fix the one's i crash cause im not rich and this hobby is expensive.

Yes it is very expensive.

The 55's will be good. That is what I use. It will be cheaper in the long run though to have them in there.

pushrods from moving, everytime the servo moves those straws move and the elevators move seperatly ?

You have to ca the tube to the pieces of wood after they are secured to the frame.

drop a couple drops of ca where the tube meets the wood.
