I'm in the UK so i got my supplies from a local specialist www.dipthis.co.uk But there are lots of supplier, there is tons of product for dipping on ebay for instance.

I was really surprised how tough the hydro-dipped pattern is. The first time i tried it, it came out wrinkly (not enough activator applied) so i had to strip it. Even without any clearcoat i had to use denatured alcohol (meths) and a metal pan scrubber and scrub away for ages to shift it. You do finally apply a few coats of clearcoat to give it the glossy finish.

Like most painting/finishing jobs the trick is in the preparation. The dip finish is tough but it's only as good as the bond of the base coat of paint you apply it over.
