You won't overheat it just powering the Rx and servos.
Many small lipo's come with a JST, if they are used for powering a ESC and motor, then things could get hot. A relatively small 120 watt motor would pull around 10 amps on a 2 cell battery.

Different equipment, but one time I had my 120vac electric chainsaw's plug, absolutely weld itself into the female socket of my heavy duty extension cord.
I had to cut both cords and put new plugs on them.
Everything was acting normal until I tried to unplug the cord.
120 vac cord connectors are only rated for 15 amps.
Chainsaw pulled about 13 amps, but it was enough to weld the parts together.
