A club member was flying his Great Planes Zero yesterday and I was thinking of your quest, so I asked him about it.
He removed all of the original covering and redid with a flatter finish material, was electric with a 40 size motor. He did put retracts in. Flew rock solid and he has had no issues with balance. It does appear to have a longer nose arm which would reduce the instability. But overall it was a 10 in my book....then again, all of this guys models are just superb.
