I saw one guy a while back had his watt meter strapped to the skids and was videoing with a zoom while he did a hover. You might be able to catch the peak on a hard punch out if the timing was right...

1000W/60 amps = 16.66 volts.

So if you are using at least 5S lipo packs, then you could easily hit 1000 watts. With 6S or more you could get well...
