Up in northern MN, some areas had lows around -26 (yes, negative)....

The only heli I could possibly recommend for a 5-year old is the Air Hogs Havoc Heli. It's cheap ($30) and it can take a huge beating. It's pretty stable, and he should have no problem with it...
