There are NiMh packs, and then there are good NiMh packs. One of the worst I ever got was a stock JR TX pack. Again....Eneloop or other good quality LSD type NiMh if at all possible.

Try the disconnect....then lube the fan. It's the fan. Nothing else to 'move' in there. IMO it's easier to lube it than replace it. Tiny fans like that are mostly all pretty crappy.
