I think for me flies fine with flaps and no el mix, stays level as long as the airspeed is low.

My doublers end right past the rib, the rib is cut to fit the spar...

The grub screws I have run into aren't pointy, and aren't flat, they look like a pointy cone that then has a hole drilled in the end, so the end surface that touches is a ring.

That makes sense...

On my retracts I add a tiny bit of CA after the set screws are tightened, I then heat the leg a bit if I need to remove it.

My retract body is metal, so your mileage might vary with that method.
