tubamike - I prefer the BEC's for a couple of reasons:
Weight
Forgetting to charge the on board battery!
Power out options (5v or 6v)
And sometimes fitting another battery is an issue...

I think you are asking for trouble - I know the manual for the ss45 says 3 servos on 4s, but in my experience - that is too much for a the linear BEC.

$22 of cheap insurance.....

That 2amp BEC with 4 servos is marginal on 3s let alone 4!

Well Henry - I stand corrected the tail feathers are built up as you said. I don't know how we missed that.

We are also getting the plane flying a great deal better now that we have moved the CG...

I will check again - but pretty sure the one Ronnie has are solid - as that was a big disappointment to us. That is not the factor that makes this "ho hum".

The CG recommendation was off...

Henry - re-read my post - I am talking about the Great Planes airplane (what the thread is about!) and recommending the eFlite US25. :)

That airplane DOES NOT HAVE built up surfaces.
