you turn on the TX before plugging in the battery...

you turn on the TX before plugging in the battery to prevent a "shootdown" where another controller takes control of your plane and it crashes. Not a problem on 2.4ghz. yes you can power an ESC...

Well, I think i'm going to pull the trigger on this one. $150 savings is a lot and I can use the motors in my Lanier WWI birds for now until i'm ready to put the 38 together.

Ugh, why oh why do they do that. It's basicly buy 2 motors + speed controllers and get the plane free. It's Evil i tell you. The G/F is yelling at me telling me NO i can't have it.
